IJSC Independent complaints and editorial accountability

Acknowledgement

We acknowledge your complaint by email within five working days and assign a reference.

Investigation

The secretariat assesses the complaint against the Code of Standards and gathers the relevant facts.

Determination

Where a complaint is upheld, outcomes range from a published correction to suspension or removal from the register.

Governance note. An independent complaints panel is being appointed to determine contested cases. Until that panel is operational, complaints are administered by the secretariat under the published procedures, and contested cases will be determined once the panel is in place.
